01Who we are

SilentMantle (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a volcano atlas for iPhone and iPad: illustrated volcano records, geology articles, a rock cabinet and a personal research shelf. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app and this website. You can reach us at mail@jokerslide.click.

02What we collect

The app's privacy manifest declares that it does not track you and does not collect any data types.

03What the app keeps on your device

To work as a personal research shelf, the app saves the things you choose to add. They are stored only in the app's local storage on your device:

• Favourites: volcanoes and articles you save.
• Notes: text you write about a record (up to 2,000 characters each).
• Places: names, locations and reasons you enter for places that matter to you.
• Viewing history: which records you opened and how often.
• Profile name: optional, only shown inside the app.
• Preferences: height unit, map layer, haptics, history length and which tips you dismissed.

This information never leaves your device through the app. If you use iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup, your device may include the app's data in that backup, under Apple's terms and your own settings. We have no access to it.

04Network use

The volcano catalog, articles, illustrations, specimens and the Atlas map layer are bundled inside the app and work fully offline.

The optional Satellite layer of the Earth Map uses Apple Maps. When you switch it on, your device requests map imagery from Apple, and Apple's own privacy policy applies to those requests. The app does not send Apple, or anyone else, your notes, favourites, places or history. The app also checks whether the device is online so it can suggest the offline Atlas when imagery cannot load. That check sends no data of ours anywhere.

The app does not ask for, read or store your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or any other protected data.

05Your controls

• Keep viewing history: choose 30 days, 90 days or one year in Settings. Older entries are removed automatically.
• Erase personal data: one tap in Settings removes favourites, notes, places and history. The volcano catalog stays.
• Export notes as text: opens the system share sheet. Where the text goes is entirely your choice.
• Delete the app: removes all of its data from your device.

06Sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not have any. The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. If you opt in to share analytics with app developers in your device's Apple settings, Apple may provide us with aggregated, non-identifying statistics. We cannot tell who you are from them.

07Children

SilentMantle is an educational reference app and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. There is no account, chat, advertising or purchase flow inside the app.

08This website

• Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google your IP address and standard request details when the page opens.
• Contact form. The form on the home page is a visual demo: it shows a confirmation but sends nothing and stores nothing. To reach us, email mail@jokerslide.click. We use your message and address only to reply.
• No cookies or trackers. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and operation.

09Educational use

The app is for learning. Its Active, Dormant and Extinct labels are working labels, and it is not a hazard map or a safety notice. For safety and travel decisions, follow local authorities and the national monitoring agency.

10Changes to this policy

If the app or this site ever changes how it handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
